Kieran’s Fourth Birthday Party Was Amazing!
We had a wonderful afternoon yesterday celebrating Kieran's birthday with family and friends. Here are a few highlights:
I rescued his birthday morning surprise, and placed it on the front gate to welcome guests.
The overall theme was Spring, although I think that was only apparent to me.
Bunny cookies made using this recipe from Melissa Kaiserman. They were oh so good! I made the colourful garland by punching out circles of cardstock and stitching them together with my sewing machine.
I made cake pops for the first time and oh my! They were so good, a total hit with everyone. I totally get all the hype now.
Fruit salsa with cinnamon chips. I've had this bookmarked for a party for like three years, and I finally got it on the menu!
The salad buffet
These three had a blast!
Serious barbecuing going on.
Butterfly carrot cupcakes and straw flags. The cupcake toppers were made by sticking punched out circles to lollipop sticks. I adore those striped straws. I think I made them look too pretty though, because no one used any!
The boys got party hats, blowers and crocheted chicks. The birthday boy was not into wearing his hat though!
There were gifts and balloons of course.
And fun and games for kids of all ages. The older "boys" may or may not have been throwing water balloons at each other!
And of course the big moment which I was mostly unprepared for as you can tell from this photo. It was windy outside, so we had to move the candle blowing indoors at the last minute.
We all had a wonderful time with family and friends! Happy Birthday Kieran!
