You Are Enough | A Meditation

Yes you are. You are enough.

Despite all the messages society and the internet are sending (5 Mistakes you’re making – You’re Doing it Wrong etc.) You’re good right where you are right now.

How many times do we ask ourselves “Did I do enough today” “Am I learning enough?” “When will my life be enough?”

I don’t mean we shouldn’t strive to learn new things, or break bad habits or “improve ourselves”.

What I mean is that right now you have the skills and knowledge to move in whatever direction that YOU decide to move.

Don’t believe me? Try this exercise:

  1. Make a list of all your roles in life – present and past
  2. Make a list of everything you’ve done today or this week, or this month- I call this my “did it” list.
  3. Make a list of all your skills, yes even touching your nose with your tongue (who knows? It might come in handy)
  4. Now think about the last time you learned something new. List out how you went from being a beginner to acquiring that skill.

Read over everything you just wrote. Now read it over again.

Do you think the information in item four can help you?

You are enough. Even if you don’t do anything new today, the evidence you now have confirms that.
